Helping Truckers is what we do.
One of the biggest complaints truckers have is the lack of good food available while on the road.
Many of the choices available at restaurants are not conducive to eating healthy. Combining unhealthy food choices with the sedimentary lifestyle of a trucker can lead to weight gain.
I'm not a doctor or dietitian but I have cooked professionally in restaurants and for my family for many years. I have educated myself on nutrition. I have been a member of Weight Watchers and TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) in the past. I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes and worked closely with my physician and dietitian to change that diagnosis.
What I have learned is the simple truth every doctor will tell you.
1. Eat lots of fresh vegetables.
2. Drink lots of water.
3. Get up and move.
